Automated Concentration Analysis System (ACAS)
Examples of User Application
We demonstrate how to use Automated Concentration Analysis System
(ACAS) for the following applications:
* Real-time calibration for field detectors: Efficiency calibrations have been a challenging problem for analytical field instruments, but the ACAS mathematical algorithms allow high quality calibration to be done quickly in the field. This allows in situ measurements to be carried out with better sensitivity and accuracy.
* Real-time concentration analysis: it allows user to carry out real-time measurement of analytes' concentration when interfaced with wide variety of detectors and instruments; ICP-AES, DCP-AES, AA, FTIR, LIDAR, LIF, LIB, UV, X-ray and other optical spectrometers.
* Analysis of the Matrix Effect of Metal Elements in Soil Measured by a Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectrometer
* Real-Time Characterization of Semiconductor Etching Process in a Reactor Measured by Optical Emission Spectrometer
* Enhance capability of hand held in-situ apparatus: Hand held apparatus usually can not store and save field data because of the limited computer capability. ACAS can server as a database for hand held in-situ apparatus by saving all the valuable field data. Therefore, it compliments the hand held in situ apparatus's deficient by losing all the valuable field data.
